English Bird Walks

Admiral Butterfly   Butterly hunter   Cattails

Mister Micawber holds monthly bird-watching and nature-study walks in natural areas near Tokyo. These walks are conducted in English, so you can practice your English conversation while you enjoy nature. We meet at a nearby station at about 10:00 am, and the walking is relaxed and easy. We return to the station at 12:00 or 12:30 pm. Bring tea and a snack if you like. Bring your binoculars. Bring your English!

If you are interested in joining us on one of our walks, please email me at MisterMicawber@gmail.com. FEE: 1500 yen.

These are some of the places we will be visiting: Yatsuhigata (Minami-funabashi Station, Keiyo Line), Oi Bird Park (Ryutsu Senta Station, Tokyo Monorail), Kasairinkaikoen (Kasairinkaikoen Station, Keiyo Line), the Tama River mouth (Kojimashinden Station, Keihin Kyuko Daishi Line), the Tama River (Noborito Station, Odakyu and Nambu Lines).

Please read our PREVIOUS TRIP REPORTS, and if you would like to study more about Japanese birds in English, please visit our website, KANTORILODE: Birds of Japan. Another local sightseeing reference site for visitors to Japan is Shinya Ohta's WEEKEND WALKS in YOKOHAMA.   You might want to contact my friend Shinya for a cultural introduction to the area.

And here is the list of birds seen on our bird walks so far this year:
